From Florence: A11 Firenze-Pisa Nord (motorway exits Lucca Est and/or Lucca Ovest)
From Genoa: A12 Genova-Rosignano, then A11 from Viareggio.
From Florence, Pisa and the Versilia area, public bus service, terminus Piazzale Verdi, inside the walls
The historic city centre is just a few minutes from the train station; Lucca is connected with Florence (Firenze-Viareggio line) and Pisa city and airport.

Group booking
For group visits (minimum 10 paying guests), both for adults and schools, booking is required.
To book you must fill in a form to be sent via email or fax. Booking is valid only after receipt of confirmation.
Due to the size of the rooms inside the Museum, admission is allowed to groups of maximum 25 people. Larger groups will be divided into subgroups, with at least half an hour between visits.
Accessibility
The museum is situated on the second floor of a historic building with architectural restrictions. The museum has a stair lift which can be used by people with motor disabilities, it must be booked at least 2 days before the visit – at the ticket office of the museum. However, please note that two rooms of the museum are not accessible for people with disabilities.
Services
The Puccini Birthplace Museum has a conference room equipped with audio-video equipment in the Ticket office-Bookshop.
The room can be booked for groups of visitors and their guides on request, to view operas, movies and documentaries about Puccini. This opportunity can be taken especially when a group is composed of more than 25 people: while one half of the group is visiting the museum, the other half can use the room, and vice versa.
Visit support
Free guided tours in Italian every Saturday and Sunday at 12.00 noon. In English every Friday from June to September, 12.00 noon. Duration approx. 1 hour (max 10people). Guided tours are included in the ticket price
Guided tours on request (multilanguage) with the Museum staff. Simply call, send an email, or arrive directly at the Bookshop in Piazza Ciattadella 5 in Lucca to book your guided tour on the day and time chosen, based on the availability of the staff. The visits are available in the following languages: Italian, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese. For groups of students, schools or adults (min. 10 / max 25 people) it is mandatory to send the completed booking form.
